  Week 7 Oct.23 - 27 2006
Goals (Weeks 7 and 8)
1. Design, conduct, present and analyze an independent experiment about reaction rates in groups.
a. Design: show awareness of controlling variables and collecting enough of the right kind of data. Explain a reasonable hypotheisis.
b. Conduct: avoid letting carelessness or errors ruin your data.
c. Present: Organize your clearly data in tables and transform it with calculations or graphs to highlight results.
d. Analyze: Write a conclusion that is based on your data and answers your focus question.

Weekly Plans
Monday: Collect data. Link to handouts for experiment.
Block day: Review Sample Introduction. Finish collecting data. Additional data collecting will need to be done after school or during tutorial. Homework: Write an introduction/background the experiment. (Use Monday's link to handouts for guidelines.)
Thursday: Proofread introductions. Work on Graphs. Start procedures in class. Homework: Finish Procedure section.
Friday: Proofread procedure section. Continue work on graphs and start conclusion. No quiz.
