Goals:
Be able to make and interpret time vs. instantaneous velocity graphs
Be able to calculate acceleration from its definition a = change in velocity/change in time
Be able to determine accelerations from velocity graphs
Activities
Monday -Start Wheelchair race project in groups - each person makes position and velocity graphs from their data
link to group projectTuesday -Lecture and practice problems about acceleration (3 problems from overhead projector). Finish first part of group assignment
Wednesday (or Thursday depending on the period) Do second half of group project - assemble the graphs on a poster and critique the racers
Thursday (or Friday) Present Posters. Take quiz.
