1. Be able to apply the distance equation d = di + vit +1/2at^2.
2. Be able to explain what a wave is and describe it by its amplitude, frequency, wavelength, period.
3. Be able to describe what affects the speed of a wave.
4. Be able to describe sound and longitudinal waves.

Activities:
Mon: Work on worksheet Where's the ball Finish as homework.
Block: Go over unit test from Friday. Cooperative activity about reading. (sorry the reading isn't available online) Work with slinkies in the hall to determine what affects the speed of a wave. Homework: More questions about readings.
Thursday: Discussion about reading. Define wave characteristics: wavelength, frequency, period, amplitude. Introduce sound as a wave. Demonstrations.
Friday: Review. Quiz.
