Week 15 Goals and Activities, Jan 3 - 6
Goals:
1. Be able to list general properties of metals: shiny, malleable, conduct electricity, reactive with oxygen adn acid, solid at room temperature.
2. Be able to rank common metals in terms of their reactivity with acid.
3. Be able to write, draw and balance simple reactions.
4. Know that atoms and mass are conserved in a reaction.
Activities:
Block day: Lab - Reacting Metals with Acids Link for Lab Handout . Homework - Finish balancing reactions.
Thursday: Write Introduction for Lab, Balance Reaction for Aluminum
Friday: Demonstration reacting HCl with Calcium or Sodium, Review, Catch-up, Quiz
